Bethany Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) and is in fellowship with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

We accept the Bible as the complete, true, pure, and error-free Word of God, the only source and rule for faith and life.

We believe that all people, men, women, and children, are sinners and under the threat of eternal punishment from God unless their sins are forgiven.

We believe and joyfully confess that God forgives all sin for the sake of the finished work of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. We believe that Jesus Christ has lived a perfect life in place of our sinned-stained lives and that he has laid down his innocent life for us, suffering the punishment that we deserved because of our sins. As a result of this work of Jesus, God forgives all sin, declaring all people innocent, and offers us eternal life with him in heaven.

We believe that Christ’s offer of forgiveness is a gift from God that we do not deserve and cannot earn. Rather, we receive forgiveness simply by faith. God gives us this faith (the ability to believe) through his Word and Sacraments by the power of the Holy Spirit. In joyful response to God’s wonderful love, we strive to serve him as we serve our fellow man.
